A picture showing the interior rendering of the Steam Turbine Building of South Helwan Power Plant Project highlighting main equipment and the piping work won 2nd place Award in 2017 Golden Valve Competition held by Hexagon PPM (previously Intergraph). The picture is rendered using SmartPlant Review 2015 R1 utilizing the Photo-Realism and Visual-Effects add on modules. Each Piping system is color coded. The model view is augmented in a photograph captured from the real-life building showing the as-built steel structure and concrete turbine pedestal. It is also worth mentioning that this the first time in PGESCo to exchange the 3D model with the Turbine Contractor intelligently, this leads to smarter data exchange and precise clash management.
PGESCo has been participating and winning in this competition since 2013 as the only company from Egypt and Middle East competing major EPCs globally, utilizing latest technology platforms and participating in R&D activities in the CAD field supported by PGESCo Engineering Management and CAD departments. The award was presented in HxGN Global Conference in USA, and the winning image will be featured in Hexagon Insight Magazine and 2018 Calendar.
The award was delivered to Eng. Inaam el Shazly – South Helwan Project Manager in the presence of Mr. Bagu Motwani – South Helwan Manager of Engineering and PD team. And Mr. Khaled Negm who performed the professional photo editing.
