An automation idea was prepared and sent as a short video to the platinum pipe competition and won the 2nd place in the SmartPlant Review Category. The idea introduced and implemented is using Touchless way of interaction, PC users and designers don’t need to use any input device like a mouse or a touch pad, they can just use their hand motion and figures gesture to design and review 3D models of various projects. This is done using a device from company called Leap Motion, it has a couple of InfraRed Sensors that detects hands motion and turn it into precise coordinates and functions in the PC. The core idea was presented in 2016. The winning video is an enhanced revision of the idea with some edits and improvements. See below images for the award plaque.
